Northern Wind Kids Personal Space Protection Martial Arts training

Northern Wind Kids Martial Arts is not just about physical fitness or self-defense. Our students develop a range of skills that enable them to succeed in all areas of life. This is particularly important for children, who need the guidance and support of parents and others to develop the skills they need to become capable and balanced adults.

Kids Personal Space Protection Training helps children to be able to deal with bullying and better enable them to protect themselves in dangerous confrontational situations. Along with improved coordination, flexibility, strength, and endurance, our students develop better concentration skills, a sense of calmness, and a deep respect for themselves and others, in an environment where the camaraderie created by shared challenges creates a sense of trust and recognition of individual achievement. Students advance at their own pace, without the pressure that is often such a part of team sports.

We believe achievements start with education and a commitment to small, daily choices.

Most of us can agree that discipline is one of the most important virtues we can develop in our pursuit of self-improvement. Without the ability to exercise self-control and will ourselves to get the important things done, it’s nearly impossible for us to see the kind of progress and results we really want in our lives…. view all

We started a tradition when our doors first opened in 2007 of doing introductions at the beginning of each class – a tradition which has been adopted by CrossFit gyms all over the country. Because we have created an inclusive environment, our members all know each other, support one another, and socialize in (i.e. at our quarterly Taco Socials) and outside of the gym. CrossFit workouts are comprised of constantly varied functional movements (like pushing, pulling, squatting, lifting, running) executed at high intensity. At ShapeForce, you will not find any machines – instead, you will find kettlebells, barbells, medicine balls, sleds, and tons of open space for running, jumping, climbing, lifting, and throwing. The workouts themselves are completely scalable, which means that a new participant and a CrossFit veteran can complete the same workout with changes in load and intensity. CrossFit workouts will deliver phenomenal fitness in and of themselves or as a complement to your sport-specific training regime…. view all
